Over the past day in 83 regions of Russia revealed 6248 new cases of coronavirus infection COVID-19. According to the headquarters, 24.5% of new patients had no clinical manifestations of the disease.

“Subjects with the lowest growth rates per day: Republic of Kalmykia, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug 0%, Moscow, Moscow Region, Republic of Ingushetia, Kaliningrad Region 0.3%, Republic of North Ossetia, Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Pskov Region, Kostroma Region, Sevastopol 0.4%, ”the statement reads.

Note that a day earlier, 6537 cases of the disease were recorded.

In total, from the beginning of the spread of infection in Russia, the diagnosis of COVID-19 was confirmed in 739,947 people.

512 825 people recovered (69.3%), including 8804 in the last 24 hours.

11 614 patients (1.57%) died from complications that developed against the background of coronavirus infection and concomitant diseases. 175 people died per day.

In Moscow, over the past day, 613 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified. A day earlier, this figure was 672, and on the previous day - 679.

“For two weeks now, the number of new cases per day has remained at a low level - about 600. 52.9% of new cases are people aged 18 to 45 years, 28.4% - from 46 to 65 years, 9.6% - from 66 to 79 years old, another 4% - over 80 years old. Also 5.1% among the sick are children. All patients, as well as those who had close contact with them, are already under medical supervision, ”RIA Novosti quoted the statement of the capital’s headquarters.

Other regions where the largest number of new cases of COVID-19 were detected per day included: St. Petersburg (281), Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (268), Sverdlovsk Oblast (245), Altai Krai (238), Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (211).  

According to Rospotrebnadzor, in Russia about 23.4 million tests for coronavirus have been carried out. Under medical supervision in the country remain 273.5 thousand people.

On the eve it became known that from July 15 in Russia the compulsory two-week isolation for those arriving in the country is canceled. Persons entering the territory of the Russian Federation must demonstrate a document in Russian or English with a negative result of a coronavirus test taken no earlier than three days before arrival in Russia. If there is no document, you must pass the COVID-19 test within three days.

COVID-19 Vaccine Tests

On July 13, Alexander Gunzburg, director of the Gamaleya Epidemiology and Microbiology Center, announced the completion of the first phase of the coronavirus vaccine test. The second stage, he said, will last until July 28, after which an application for registration of the drug will be submitted.

The specialist expressed the hope that the vaccine against coronavirus will be given to the Russians “for free, at the expense of budget money”.

In turn, the Japanese expert virologist, professor at Tohoku University, Hitoshi Ositani, welcomed Russian developments in this direction. According to him, the exchange of ideas and results is necessary to find the best option.

“Now there are many initiatives to develop a vaccine against coronavirus in various countries, and they are very important. Therefore, it is good that Russia has joined these efforts, because the more vaccine projects, the better, ”RIA Novosti quotes him.

In addition, on Tuesday, July 14, an international inter-party round table was held with the participation of the leadership of parliamentary parties on the topic “Security cooperation during the COVID-19 pandemic”. In it, in particular, took part the deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev. The chairman of United Russia expressed confidence that vaccination of the population would have to take place almost simultaneously in all countries of the world, "otherwise it just doesn’t make sense." At the same time, he stated that the issue of drug development through the actions of the leadership of a number of countries has moved to the political plane.

“There are countries that create a certain informational background around this topic, which is probably not always useful in order to fight a pandemic, but at the same time allows solving certain problems in the field of the election campaign, that is, apply certain electoral technologies”, - remarked Medvedev.
