Vandals have broken fingers on the hand of the statue of Venus de Medicis in Peterhof

This “happened either on Friday evening or Saturday morning. At the statue of Venus de Medici, four fingers were broken. Now the restoration is ahead, ”RIA Novosti was told in the museum.

The statue is located in the garden of Venus in the Lower Park of Peterhof, this part of the park suffered during the Great Patriotic War. It was restored in the 1980s.

In July 2019, vandals destroyed the bas-relief of Mikhail Lermontov in the national park in Kislovodsk, established in 1948.
