13 July 2020A 30-year-old man who had attended a covid-19 party, convinced that the coronavirus was a hoax, died after being infected with the virus. Jane Appleby, medical director of the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, where the patient died, reported it to the media.

"I think I made a mistake. I thought it was a hoax, but it wasn't," the man said to a nurse the day before he died, Appleby reported.

The purpose of covid parties is to test whether the virus really exists or to intentionally expose participants to the coronavirus to obtain immunity.
