The labor market figures continue to decline when the Swedish Employment Service presents its figures for the month of June.

It is mainly young, foreign-born and people with temporary employment who suffer the most. Overall, unemployment has increased from 6.7 percent to 9.0 percent from last year.

In Östergötland, 14.1 percent of young people between the ages of 18-24 were registered as unemployed at the Employment Service, which is an increase of 9.1 percent from last year.

Even in Gotland, unemployment has increased, but together with Västerbotten and Norrbotten County, unemployment here is the lowest in the country. There, 6.7 percent of the population is registered as unemployed in the respective counties.
