Recently, former security adviser John Bolton published a new book on President Donald Trump. In it, Bolton describes Trump as, among other things, unreliable and easily manipulated.

A few weeks later, a new book has now arrived, written by the president's niece, psychologist Mary Trump, who does not hold back the criticism.

"Does not affect voters"

The book describes Donald Trump as "an injured man" who "threatens the world's health and financial security". This is what Simon & Schuster publishes on his website. But the book will have a bigger impact, the American connoisseur Andreas Utterström does not believe.

- Her goal seems to be to describe who Donald Trump is, but if you have the intention, it's too late. Some think that if you just describe who Donald Trump is, the core voters will turn against him, but I don't think so, says Andreas Utterström and continues:

- They want a person who is not like ordinary politicians and who is not politically correct, that is exactly the person we see in the book and what some Americans want.

Needs the middle voters

The book is not likely to affect Trump's own voters very much, but it will affect the election this fall - not least with regard to the middle voters Trump is fighting to get, says Fouad Youcefi, SVT's reporter in the US.

- The US consists of two large camps that will not change and then a small click in the middle, which now both parties in the electoral movement are fighting. I don't think this book will affect any of those who have voted for Trump not to go and vote for Trump, says Fouad Youcefi.

In addition, Trump is lagging in opinion polls and soon after his challenger, Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden.

- The problem for the president is that he is lying in the opinion polls against Biden right now and it is not enough that the books do not steal voters from him but he needs to attract more new voters and this type of books will not be easier.
