Charlotta Hörner is the head protection officer at Nobina in Uppland. She thinks that the proposal means that the responsibility for the congestion in public transport is transferred to the drivers.

- Even today we have a mandate to reject people. But that's nothing we like, because it increases the risk of threats and and violence, she says.

Guardians no alternative

One of the alternatives Charlotta Hörner proposes is to have security guards manage the evacuation, just as they do when assisting ticket controllers. But there is no money for it, according to UL Press Manager Helena Klange.

Helena Klange also says, in response to the criticism from the Municipal, that the discussion will be taken when the law possibly becomes relevant.

- If the bus drivers feel insecure about this, then of course we are not interested, either, she says.
