Discussions on how to develop the square in Karlshamn have stretched over a decade - but on the third of August, work on the new square building in Karlshamn will begin.

The current pavilion will be demolished and make way for a somewhat smaller pavilion, where café operations will be conducted.

- The architect was commissioned to design a new pavilion in the style of Hanna Viktorsson. We will also use the basement, says project manager William Lavesson.

The plan is for the building to be completed in a year, ahead of the Baltic Sea festival. The project will cost between SEK 25 and 30 million.

During the autumn, the construction of stage five at Östra Piren in Karlshamn will also start again, a project that became SEK 130 million more expensive than planned.

In the clip, Per-Ola Mattsson talks about planning the budget for the square building, which stays within the given framework.
