Sörmland has the highest unemployment rate in the country

Unemployment was 11.4 percent. Almost as high levels were measured in Skåne and Gävleborg counties.

According to the Employment Service, it is primarily people with temporary employment, young people and foreign-born who only become unemployed when demand for labor decreases.

The lowest unemployment rate in June was Gotland, Västerbotten and Norrbotten county with 6.7 per cent.
