The police are now conducting a forensic investigation because they suspect a crime was committed in connection with the traffic accident. They are now working to secure traces on the site and to hold hearings with witnesses and others.
The alarm about the accident came at 11.22. The Östergötland region has not yet published a bulletin about the injury situation of the person who was taken to hospital. However, they have information from the ambulance staff saying that the injured person is feared to be seriously injured and that it should be after an abuse, and not an accident.
- I can confirm that we are looking for an involved person that we currently consider an offender. The injured person is a man of 45 years of age. At present, I can't say anything more with regard to the investigation, says police spokesman Thomas Agnevik.
