It was in the middle of the day on Sunday 14 July when Mikael Hortell and his friend Anders Asplund were on the air with pilot Mats Johansson.
- We refueled the plane and got ready at the same time as the parachutists, I knew one of the jumpers a little and cheered, says Mikael Hortell.
The flight was a 50-year gift from friends and Mikael photographed his house from the air and had to test fly himself. But then all of a sudden they were contacted by the air traffic controller and redirected to search for the wreck.
