Interest in renting horses increased greatly

- I have rented horses for 48 years. I've never been to anything like it, ”says Gert Brandon.

In the yard outside Tenhult there are some young horses and gatherings. Otherwise it is empty. All 100 horses are rented, except for a small pony named Dennis, who is in the Stockholm area.

The rental starts in May, but already in March and April many people called and wanted to book in advance. Once opened, the horses ran out of nine hours.

- When the corona pandemic started, I was at first worried that it would have a negative impact on the rental, that people would opt out of the horse if it became harsh or uncertain with the economy. But on the contrary. They would be home and then wanted a horse to play with.

The phone continued to ring for several weeks after all the horses were hired. The increased number has meant that more people with no experience wanted to rent a horse.

- It has called many moms who have soooo good daughters who can both gallop and jump, but that is not what is important. The important thing is that the rider has the ability to have contact with the horse.
