Infectious Disease Doctor: Several causes of fewer deceased and intensive care for covid-19

Since the corona pandemic started, the region of Sörmland has provided statistics on the number of dead, nursed and infected at the county hospital.

The worst was the situation in April, and for example, the region announced on April 12 that eleven people had died in hospitals for one and the same day. At the same time, 31 patients received intensive care.

After the region announced on Monday what the state of the disease looks like at the county hospital, it is clear that no hospitalized patient has died as a result of the disease for over a week. Recently, around a handful or fewer patients have received intensive care.

Although this is a very positive development, there is concern that it may turn around.
