From June to August, seven young people living in the Scanian countryside will portray their everyday lives in social media.

- It can be anything possible. I can be with friends or out with the sheep, says Hilda Vilbern, one of the young people who will be working as a rural influencer this summer.

Hilda Vilbern lives on a farm outside Eslöv. From there, she sees how many people in her area are moving towards the cities.

- Everything often happens in town and many want to be where it happens. But I think it's good to try to get people to stay in the countryside. You can make it more fun than you think, says Hilda Vilbern.

Intertwined with adolescents' portrayal of their lives, they receive training in social media by established influencers.

"The long-term aim of the project is to promote young people's opportunity to participate and to promote the countryside as an attractive place to live for young people," says Jennifer Cronborn, one of the project managers at Mittskåne Development who runs the project with young rural influencers.
