Al Hamriyah Municipality carried out 4,965 inspection and control visits through its public health and municipal inspection sections during the period of the national sterilization program that lasted for nearly 99 days, resulting in the release of four violations and six health warnings against food facilities not committed to applying precautionary measures and preventive measures.

The Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, Mubarak Al Shamsi, stated that the Public Health Pest Control Division in Al Hamriyah Municipality received 134 service requests for pest control in homes, all of which were met, in addition to carrying out 170 visits to governmental and official institutions in the Hamriyah region, to combat ants, rodents and other insects.

He indicated that the Veterinary Services Division carried out 30 visits to the regular Azab region in Hamriyah, in addition to carrying out 70 campaigns and inspection visits to the outlets selling red meat, poultry and eggs.

He pointed out that the municipality is making efforts to contribute to reducing infection with the emerging coronavirus, and to continue its control efforts on food and outlets, pointing to the low percentage of violations due to the increased awareness and commitment of community members to the times set by the national sterilization program and the directives issued by the competent authorities and commitment at home.

He stated that the department has taken measures to strengthen preventive measures and precautionary measures to ensure that all food establishments, restaurants, popular kitchens, cafeterias, groceries and barber salons meet health and safety requirements and requirements, and adhere to technical and legal rules in this field, in order to preserve public health.
