Xinhua News Agency, Moscow, July 12 (Reporter Lu Jinbo) Russian President Vladimir Putin said on the 12th that today's international affairs have accumulated a lot of uncertainty, so it is necessary to hold a summit of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council.

Putin said in a Russian TV program that day, the five permanent members of the Security Council need to continue to pay attention to international issues full of uncertainty, and the convening of the summit will be effective.

When he attended the Fifth World Holocaust Forum in Jerusalem on January 23, Putin stated that Russia proposed to convene the Security Council's five regular summits. In June, Putin once again stated that the Wuchang Summit should be convened. It is necessary to initiate a dialogue on safeguarding world peace, strengthening global and regional security, joining hands to fight terrorism and counter-extremism, and other major challenges and threats.

According to Russian media reports, the remaining four permanent members of the Security Council all expressed interest in participating in the summit. The Russian Foreign Ministry will determine the date and place of the summit after agreeing with the relevant parties on the agenda.
