The Brazilian Ministry of Health said that it recorded 631 deaths from the Corona virus on Sunday, adding that the total number of infections in the country amounted to one million and 864 thousand cases.
The ministry stated that the total number of deaths as of Sunday had reached 72,100 deaths.
Brazil is currently the second largest number of corona infections in the world after the United States. In light of the shortage of tests, experts say the actual total number is likely to be much greater than the announced figures.
