  • Report: The babies of the 'Prestige', to the polls for the first time

Alberto Núñez Feijóo could lose the absolute majority with which he governs in Galicia and be on the verge of ceding the Presidency of the Xunta to a left-wing tripartite BNG-PSOE-Galicia In Common, according to a poll at the ballot box carried out by Television of Galicia during the electoral day of this Sunday, July 12.

According to this survey carried out exclusively for the CRTVG, Feijóo achieved between 37 and 40 deputies. The absolute majority is placed in the Galician Parliament in 38 deputies, so that it would be on the tightrope and the other three parties that would achieve representation could add enough votes to form the government.

In the most negative scenario, Feijóo would remain at the gates of his fourth absolute majority and the big surprise of the night would be given by the BNG, which would go on to lead the opposition. According to this survey, the nationalists would achieve between 19 and 22 deputies, well above those between 12 and 14 that the PSOE would achieve.

The BNG, which in 2016 reached six deputies, thrives on the votes lost by the PSOE and, above all, by United We Can. His coalition, Galicia En Común Podemos Anova Mareas, only achieved two deputies, ranking as the fourth force and a clear defeat compared to 14 14 years ago. It would suffer a harsh correction due to controversies in recent months such as the Dina case and the internal division of the former electoral alliance En Marea.

The fragmentation of this force on the rupturist left also punishes the other inheriting force of the disappeared En Marea, Marea Galeguista, which does not enter Parliament. Neither Citizens nor Vox enters the Parliament.

The result of this survey, however, could be altered by low participation. According to the balance of participation at five in the afternoon, the number of voters is very similar to that of four years ago, even slightly higher, but there are still no data on the closing of schools at eight in the afternoon.
