According to Li-Men Yan, she became one of the first scientists who began to study the new coronavirus, this happened at the end of December 2019.

She said she received from her supervisor, a consultant at the World Health Organization, Dr. Leo Pune, a task to study a sample of cases similar to SARS.

At the same time, a woman’s friend from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention on December 31, 2019 told her that the new coronavirus can be transmitted from person to person, Li-Meng Yan said.

According to her, she reported this to her boss, but he “just nodded” and asked her to return to work, and later, in January, he allegedly said “be silent and be careful” about this.

Li-Meng Yan also added that the co-director of the WHO reference laboratory, Professor Malik Peyris, “knew about the situation, but did nothing.”

According to Fox News, WHO has denied that the people named by the woman have ever worked directly for the organization.

As WHO spokeswoman Margaret Ann Harris, Professor Peyris, an expert on infectious diseases, clarified, participated in WHO missions and expert groups, but was not an employee of the organization and does not represent her.

The Chinese Embassy in the United States also noted that they did not know about Li-Meng Yan, the channel said.

In May, China asked the United States to end its groundless coronavirus claims.

After that, US leader Donald Trump said that the spread of coronavirus infection was due to China, which "hid the Wuhan virus."
