WP: Trump confirms cyber attack against Russian company in 2018

According to newspaper observer Mark Thyssen, in a conversation with him, the head of state confirmed that he approved a cyber attack against the Internet Research Agency in St. Petersburg.

“This week, during an interview in the Oval Office, Trump admitted for the first time that he had sanctioned a secret cyber attack against the Russian Internet Research Agency,” the article said.

In February 2019, The Washington Post wrote that the Washington conducted an “offensive cyber operation” against the “Russian troll factory” during the midterm elections in the US in 2018, disconnecting it from the Internet.

The publication noted that we are talking about the Internet Research Agency. 

According to NBC sources, Trump personally approved the US cyber attack against the Russian company.
