As stated in the document, the United States Embassy in Bratislava announced its intention to allocate funds for the program "to train and train officials and leaders of civil society groups in the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic in best practices for the prevention and combating violent extremism on racial / ethnic grounds" .

The aim of the American program is to increase the awareness of students about the "spread of ideologies of hatred and intolerance by extremists," including through "foreign propaganda."

In addition, the initiative suggests that, as a result of the work done, its participants will more actively share their experience with foreign colleagues.

The list of duties of the candidate who has passed the competitive selection will include the organization of discussions and seminars with speakers from the USA and Europe, as well as the development of recommendations for program participants on the subject under discussion.

NGOs established in Slovakia can apply for participation in the competition, including think tanks, NGOs and civil society organizations.

Earlier, the State Department announced the receipt of grant applications for the organization of training of “opinion leaders” in the field of digital media in Ukraine.

The list of tasks of potential partners was to include the preparation and conduct of a series of training events for pre-selected citizens so that they could successfully confront “Russian misinformation”.
