“The resolution submitted by Belgium and Germany has been adopted,” RIA Novosti quoted Germany’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Christoph Heusgen.

It is noted that 12 countries voted for the resolution, three states abstained.

Earlier, the UN Security Council did not manage to agree on the extension of the checkpoint on the Syrian border for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the country from Turkey.
