There are two cars that are said to have collided just outside Avesta on national highway 70. The cars were traveling in the direction of Hedemora when the accident occurred.

- A passenger car has completed and is on the roof. At first it was thought that the car collided with a cyclist, but it turned out that the bike fell off the car in connection with the crash, says operator at SOS Alarm.

Several rescue vehicles are in place, including two ambulances. One person has experienced neck pain.

According to the Swedish Transport Administration, the accident, which occurred after 12 o'clock, has a very large impact on traffic. The northbound lane is closed during the rescue work.

- Long queues have been formed. There is a lot of holiday traffic, says photographer Niklas Hagman who is on the scene.
