China News Service, July 11 (Xinhua Times) reported that on July 10 local time, Greece added 60 new cases of new coronary pneumonia, of which 40 were imported from abroad. At present, there are a total of 3732 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in the country, and a total of 193 deaths. Greece will launch a new molecular detection technology to detect new coronavirus with an accuracy rate of 90%.

On May 18th, local time, Athens, Greece, the Acropolis was opened to the public to attract tourists to visit. On that day, Greek open-air archaeological sites and various theme parks were reopened from that day.

According to reports, due to the increasing number of foreign tourists after the opening of the border, the pressure on Greece’s foreign defense imports is enormous. In order to avoid the further spread of the new coronavirus, the Greek authorities discussed the formulation of a "B plan" for epidemic prevention.

According to reports, the plan will be divided into the following three phases: detection of all people entering the border crossings between Greece and Bulgaria; detection of all personnel working seasonally in Greece; and 100% testing of entry personnel at all ports of entry across Greece.

Greek Prime Minister Mizotakis emphasized: "It is not time for us to relax our vigilance. The government is assessing the situation and will adjust the measures we will take in a timely manner based on the assessment and recommendations of health experts."

In addition, Greek researchers have recently indicated that they are about to launch a new molecular detection technology to detect new coronaviruses. This method can become a substitute for imported kits at a more affordable price.

The researchers said that the accuracy of the test technology they developed exceeded 90%. The Virus Research Center and several Greek universities participated in this project, which was launched in February.
