As Andrei Kuryakov, deputy head of the Prosecutor General’s Office in the Ural Federal District, said earlier, the cause of the death of tourists was an avalanche and the fact that people froze due to low temperatures.

“All tourists, except Zolotarev, Dubinina and Thibault-Brignoles, died from freezing, hypothermia. All injuries are characteristic of injuries to groups of tourists who fall into an avalanche, ”he said during a press conference organized by Komsomolskaya Pravda.

So, according to him, the comparative characteristics of each injury were carried out.

“The general conclusion is that all bodily injuries of the entire Dyatlov group correspond to injuries of the group that fell into the avalanche,” RIA Novosti quoted Kuryakova as saying.

He noted that in this case the injuries at Zolotarev, Dubinina and Thibault-Brignoles are different.

“So, Zolotarev’s ribs were broken. Experts explained this with the example of a tennis ball. When bodily injuries are determined, the general rule is as follows: at the site of the application of force, deformation of bones and tissues occurs. Where we click, there is deformation, ”he said.

However, if we approach the assessment of bodily injuries with such logic, it is not clear how the ribs were damaged in Zolotarev.

“But if we take the ball and create a tine load, then the gap will not be at the point of application of force, but from the back. Accordingly, if from above, from all sides, snow pressed - three to four meters of snow, this is about half a ton, then bodily injuries should be from the back. Here they were from the other side, ”said the prosecutor.

Thus, Kuryakov concluded, the experts concluded that the injuries were caused by the pressure of the flowing force.

In addition, he noted that the issue of versions of the deaths of tourists is closed, and from the point of view of the state body, the verification is completed.
