In Kalmar guest harbor it is clear that the guests are not as many as usual.

- A normal summer we have 110-120 boats, today we have 30-40 boats, says Stefan Johnson, tourism manager in Kalmar.

Above all, it is the foreign guests who do not come.

- 70 percent of our guests are from other countries. Some have come, but there are very few.

More beginners are out on the lake

The port usually has a pilot boat that meets the boats when they are on their way in and shows them where to add because it is usually crowded. This summer, no service is needed.

- But we notice that more Swedes are out sailing. Some have bought a boat now and are beginners and need some extra help.

Slottsholmen marina in Västervik experiences the same.

- We miss the Germans, the Dutch, the Poles and the Russians. But the Swedes are here. They say it is so empty when they sail in here, not at all as it usually is, says harbor captain Emelie Rosenqvist.

There is a lot to be noticed this weekend, during the festival.

- This Saturday, it's usually the crowds of people here, but not this year.
