China News Service, July 11th, according to foreign media reports, US President Trump said he will sign an executive order on immigration in the next few weeks to provide children who have illegally entered the United States with access to citizenship.

According to reports, Trump said in an interview with the Spanish-language television network Telemundo that one aspect of the measure will involve the "Deferred Repatriation Program for Childhood Arrivals in the United States" (DACA, also known as the "Dream Life" program).

Trump said, "We will give them access to citizenship." He intends to sign the relevant law "in the form of a decree" within a few weeks.

The White House confirmed this claim. The White House statement said that Trump is ready to work with Congress on this issue to negotiate a legislative solution to the "dream student" plan, but emphasized that Trump has no plans to pardon illegal immigrants.

According to reports, the "Dream Life" program aims to protect certain young immigrants from deportation and allow them to obtain work permits. Trump ordered the abolition of the "Dream Life" program in September 2017, affecting about 700,000 immigrants, of which more than 510,000 came from Mexico.

In June 2020, the US Supreme Court rejected the Trump administration's move to abolish the "dream dream" plan, which was regarded as a major setback in the White House's tough immigration policy. However, the ruling did not prevent Trump from restarting the relevant procedures to abolish the plan.

In early July, Mexican President Lopez visited the White House to meet with Trump. The report said that immigration was excluded from the visit agenda.
