A 33-year-old woman has been detained in Bilbao accused of murder after stabbing her partner in a pension and causing serious injuries that have led to his subsequent death at the Hospital de Cruces, to which he has been transferred, as reported by the Security Department of the Basque Government.

The arrest occurred in the early hours of this Saturday in the Biscayan capital after the aggressor stabbed her partner after a dispute. The victim had two puncture wounds on the chest and on one of his sides and was unconscious, so she was evacuated to the Cruces Hospital by an ambulance.

The incident occurred at 03:45 in a pension in the Bilbao neighborhood of Abando . A call alerted that a man had been stabbed in the hospitality premises. Several patrols of the Ertzaintza have moved to the place and have accessed one of the houses, since the door was open.

Agents have found the victim, an unconscious male , in the middle of a pool of blood . Next to him was his partner, who had traces of blood on his clothes and was in shock.

Confession

The Ertzainas have treated the victim and have requested the presence of health personnel, since the man had a puncture wound in the chest and another on one of his sides. The woman has confessed that she had attacked her partner with a knife after having an argument .

The woman has been arrested by officers on charges of murder. The victim had to be evacuated to the Hospital de Cruces due to the severity of the injuries sustained and died this morning.

The 33-year-old detainee has been transferred to police stations to carry out the corresponding proceedings, and will be brought to justice in the next few hours.
