It is a retirement home in Kungsbacka, two in Varberg and two retirement homes in Laholm which will now be examined by IVO.

Laholm has found covid-19 infections on both of the two municipal retirement homes. But the Social Manager has a hard time seeing what they would have done differently to stop the infection from entering the homes.

- On the first accommodation, the infection came in via a relative who had been on holiday in Italy, and on the second accommodation the infection probably came from one of the staff who did not show any symptoms, says Christel Sundberg.

Has improved

The social director believes that they have followed the guidelines of the Public Health Authority all the time.

- But as the Public Health Authority has come up with new guidelines, we have also changed. It goes without saying that we have gotten better. We have gained our own knowledge but also national knowledge.

Now she thinks they will be able to act differently if there is a new pandemic in the future.

- What has worked is we take with us if there is a new pandemic in five years, and then we can act in a different way, says Christel Sundberg, Social Manager in Laholm.
