The Seat el-Born concept car, unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show 2019, will not only remain the work of designers, but its series production will begin with the car on the market next year.

el-Born, however, does not get the Seat mark on its bow, but is put on the market from the Cupra stable.

For example, the driver can enjoy the features of augmented reality of the windshield display. Sporty cup seats and a steering wheel with a choice of driving profiles are part of the new Cupra.

At the same time, the Cupra el-Born is the brand's first all-electric car to go into series production. Cupra el-Born’s character is inextricably linked to performance and driving dynamics. According to the factory, it will accelerate to 50 km / h in 2.9 seconds. The car is designed for the MEB chassis structure and uses the new DCC Sport chassis control system developed exclusively for Cupra el-Born.

The net capacity of the Cupra el-Born battery is 77 kWh (gross 82 kWh). For operating distances under optimal conditions, the manufacturer states up to 500 kilometers. The business trip can be charged in 260 hours in half an hour.

el-Born is manufactured in Zwickau, Germany. el-Born will enter the market in 2021. Before el-Born, another Cupra novelty with the Formentor 310 horsepower petrol engine will arrive in Finland. Later, Formentor will also receive hybrid treatment.
