Two men, prosecuted for committing 12 burglaries or attempted burglaries targeting exclusively bakeries, were sentenced to 7 years in prison by the correctional court of Béziers (Hérault), Thursday.

The duo had attacked shops located in Hérault and Gard, between May 30 and June 2.

False plates and presser foot

The two men, 33 and 34, with criminal records loaded, disembarked on the scene with a vehicle equipped with false plates, and broke into bakeries using a crowbar to steal cash from the cash drawer.

The total damage of their burglaries is estimated at more than 50,000 euros. The sum of 4,300 euros was seized during their arrests.
