A majority agreement for a salary increase for hospital staff. Friday, July 10, three majority unions, the CFDT, FO and Unsa, validated the government's proposed agreement for an amount of 7.5 billion euros.

"A majority agreement for Ségur thanks to the signing of Unsa Social Health for the benefit of agents and employees of health", announced Friday evening on Twitter Laurent Escure, the secretary general of Unsa. "Everything is not settled but it is a recognition of the commitment of caregivers!"

The vast consultation of Ségur de la Santé was launched on May 25 in the wake of the coronavirus health crisis, in particular to increase the salaries of hospital staff. A memorandum of understanding was found overnight from Wednesday to Thursday.

"Yes, we are getting involved on this because this agreement is a salary gain," announced in the morning on France Info Laurent Berger, the secretary general of the CFDT. "There are times when you have to conclude, it's time to conclude," he added, referring to a very positive compromise for the staff of the public hospital.

Force Ouvrière (FO) also indicated, after consulting its base, that it had received a "clear mandate" to validate this memorandum of understanding. "Nevertheless, adds the central in a press release, this revaluation protocol is only one step and would not be the balance of any account."

FO thus believes that on working conditions, hospital funding and investment, the outcome of this consultation is not yet up to its expectations.

The agreement validated Friday evening provides that the revaluation of 180 euros in monthly salaries of non-medical staff will be done in two stages: next September and next March.

The new Prime Minister, Jean Castex, announced Tuesday evening that he would add a little more than a billion euros to the envelope intended for hospital paramedical staff, that is to say administrative staff, nurses and caregivers, thereby increasing it from 6.4 to 7.5 billion euros.
