This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the first deputy representative of Russia to the United Nations Dmitry Polyansky.

It is noted that Russia has prepared a new draft resolution, "which will allow the cross-border supply of humanitarian aid to Idlib ... through the Bab al-Hawa checkpoint within one year."

Polyansky explained that more than 85% of all humanitarian operations go through this checkpoint.

He noted that the remaining share of humanitarian operations can be redirected through this border crossing and through the front line, taking into account changes “on the ground”, in particular, a 30% decrease in the de-escalation zone.

Earlier, Russia and China vetoed a draft UN Security Council resolution on the delivery of humanitarian aid to Syria through two checkpoints on the border of the SAR and Turkey.

Later, the UN Security Council did not adopt a draft resolution of Russia, proposing to leave one border crossing on the Syrian border for the delivery of humanitarian aid.
