Next come the Altai Territory (6638.6 cases per 100 thousand people), the Jewish Autonomous Region (6214.6), Kurgan (5974.2) and Sakhalin (5788.4) regions.

A relatively high prevalence of mental disorders was also noted in the Yamalo-Nenets (5696.3) and Nenets (5535.1) autonomous districts. Similar indicators were recorded in the Kirov and Orel regions - 5434.5 and 5434.2 cases, respectively.

The Tver Oblast closes the top ten regions with the highest rates - 5399.7 cases per 100 thousand people.

The Ministry of Health fixes the lowest prevalence of mental diseases and behavioral disorders in Chechnya (1411.9 cases per 100 thousand people), Moscow (2022.5), Ingushetia (2067.8), Sevastopol (2313.3) and North Ossetia (2454 ,five).

In addition, a relatively low prevalence of mental illnesses was noted in Kabardino-Balkaria (2482.5), Samara Region (2914) and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (3052.1).

The indicators of the Republic of Altai and Karachay-Cherkessia are slightly higher, but also low, compared with other regions of the country - 3188.3 and 3260.1 cases per 100 thousand of the region’s population, respectively.

In total, at the end of 2019, 5.8 million patients with mental illness were registered in Russia.

The prevalence rate for the country was 3939.5 cases per 100 thousand people.
