Erdogan signed a decree on turning Hagia Sophia into a mosque

In particular, Erdogan signed a document on the transfer of Hagia Sophia to the Department of Religious Affairs and permission to conduct Muslim services there.

He posted a copy of the document on his Twitter.

Earlier, the Turkish State Council annulled the decision of 1934 on turning the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul into a museum.
