Philippe Monguillot, the bus driver assaulted in Bayonne, died Friday. The 59-year-old was brain-dead after being seriously injured on Sunday in an attack that aroused great emotion. The bus driver was beaten when he wanted to check the ticket of one of the accused and demanded that the three others wear a mask. Two men, 22 and 23, suspected of this surge of violence, were charged with attempted manslaughter and imprisoned.
