10 July 2020 They were "perhaps" convinced that they had "bought and hired codeine" while "instead it was methadone" the two boys found dead on 7 July in their homes in Terni. This is the hypothesis formulated by the investigating judge validating the arrest of Aldo Maria Romboli. The investigation showed that as early as June the man had given the diluted methadone to the two teenagers. "That time, however - the investigating judge said - the suspect had told them that it was codeine and not methadone. Romboli instead reiterates that on July 6 he had told the boys that the substance transferred was actually methadone". For the judge, this statement "contrasts" with what was reported to the investigators by the friends of Flavio and Gianluca. According to the witnesses, in fact, when the two boys had felt bad they had said that "it was the fault of the codeine bought by Aldo". Romboli - still emerges from the magistrate's provision - however denied "absolutely to have given codeine, neither on July 6th nor on other occasions to the two boys". Confirming "solol to supply methadone in June by passing it off as codeine".

In the meantime, the task for the autopsies on the bodies of Flavio Presuttari, 16 years old, and Gianluca Alonzi was formally assigned this morning by the public prosecutor's office in Terni. The examination is scheduled for tomorrow and the results, especially from the toxicological ones, are expected to be useful elements for the investigations conducted by the police. The defender of Aldo Maria Romboli, in prison on charges of death as a result of another crime, has appointed his own party consultant.
