It was just before two o'clock on Friday afternoon that the police received a call about an injured man at the central station in Eskilstuna.

Hard object

When police arrived at the scene, a 25-year-old man was found whose injuries indicated that he had been severely beaten with some type of sharp object. The man was taken to hospital, and it is unclear at the time of writing how he is feeling.

According to the police, the abuse must have occurred at a different location than at the station.

Another person should also be the target in the case, but right now it is unclear in what way.

"That person is not injured in any case," says Thomas Agnevik, police spokesman.

Suspects were also arrested

According to him, suspicions arose about a person living in the western part of Eskilstuna.

- We went there and then we met, says Thomas Agnevik.

The suspected man is in his 20s and during the day he was arrested by prosecutors reasonably suspected of murder, ie the lower level of suspicion.

The police have carried out a house search in the arrested home.
