“Carrying out money transfers to the accounts of foreign organizations, managing them using payment bank plastic cards, the participants in the criminal scheme left corresponding traces that, with the help of our foreign colleagues, allowed the investigation to establish all the circumstances to be proved for such a crime as taking bribes,” leads BelTA to his words.

According to the investigation, the management of Belgazprombank, including the chairman of the board, Babariko, set the condition for PrivatLeasing to provide the bank with a portion of the profit for "favorable resolution of lending issues."

Earlier, Babariko was charged with money laundering on a particularly large scale, tax evasion and giving a bribe.

On June 18, Belarusian law enforcement authorities detained Babariko, as well as his son Eduard.
