Earlier this spring - before the corona virus advance in Sweden - the idea was that 180 places for holiday work would be added in Hässleholm municipality this year. But since young people this year cannot work in, for example, elderly care, the message in May was that only 40 places would be added.

However, since then it has changed. The politicians made the decision to create more holiday jobs and commissioned the administrations to find jobs. Now there are 112 young people who have received holiday jobs in the municipality.

Picking garbage

Max Sander has picked up trash on Hässleholm's streets, squares and parks during the summer. He is glad he got a summer job.

- I think this is a good way for young people to get into working life. You get experience and then you can feel what you think is fun and take it with you, says Max Sander.

Activities for children

Diana Solomon and Ida Johansson arrange activities for children this summer, including in the Stadsparken in Hässleholm.

"It's a great atmosphere here," says Diana Solomon, and says that they organize theme days, among other things.

- It's great fun, says Ida Johansson.

In the video you can go with both to Stadsparken in Hässleholm and out on a rubbish pick round.
