As he noted in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda Publishing House, such moments were economic crises, sanctions and the adoption of unpopular decisions, in particular, a change in the pension system.

“The work of the chairman of the government is difficult and efficient ... I called the most difficult moments: these are economic crises. Well, now - energy prices and coronavirus. And some time ago, when I was the chairman of the government, there were energy prices, which also went down with other raw materials, and sanctions imposed on our country, ”he said.

Along with this, Medvedev pointed out that Russia managed to adapt to life under sanctions and now economists, including even Western ones, declare the minimum impact of restrictions on the country's economy.

He also added that for Russia in the beginning there were difficult times on this issue. The government studied various scenarios of events, "sometimes dramatic for our economy."

The former prime minister noted that the situation with changes in pension legislation was also difficult.

“An important topic, very unpopular. People do not like such decisions. And they still remember about it, ”Medvedev said.

Earlier, Medvedev spoke about the impact of three “economic shocks” on Russia.
