Road cycling star Chris Froome will move to Israel Start-Up Nation this season. Kjell Carlström, a Finnish ex-driver, works as the head of the stable. Israel Start-Up Nation confirmed the entry of Froome on its website.

Froomen, 35, the current contract with Team Ineos expires in December. The team announced that the contract would not be renewed.

British pedaler Froome has won the French Touring Tournament Four times, the Italy Tour once and the Spain Tour twice.

Froome has driven at Ineos and its predecessor Team Sky for ten years.

- This has been a phenomenal decade. We have achieved so much together, and cherish these memories always, Froome said on Ineos ’website.

He has stated that his goal for this season is to win a tour of France.

While Froome’s merit list is lavish, in Ineos he might not have been the number one captain next season. Ineos will also be driven by Geraint Thomas and Egan Bernal, who won the French tour, among others.

Frome has a bad injury from last year that kept him out of the race for a long time. The current cycling year, in turn, has deteriorated badly due to the coronavirus pandemic. A tour of France is scheduled for August-September.

Froome drives to the end of his career in the Israeli stable.

- Chris' career has been exceptional. We believe he has the mental and physical abilities to win more grand tours while mentoring our young talents, Carlström said on the Israel Start-Up Nation website.
