It was on July 2 that the municipal staff would receive a technical handover of Vendelbadet in Örbyhus. Tierpsbyggen AB, which on behalf of the municipality managed the operation would be responsible for it. But instead of a handover, staff from the company came into the area, brought equipment and went from there. Without any dialogue or explanation.
That's how City Manager Randi Graungaard describes the incident in an e-mail to, among others, Tierpsbyggens CEO Roger Kjettselberg, who has received a lot of attention in social media.
"Now it stands 1-1 in the match"After the incident, an employee of the municipality must have said to another "what did you expect?" and "now it stands 1-1 in the match".
Municipal Manager Randi Graungaard comments on the exchange of words with the municipality and the company "should play in the same team".
Tierpsbyggen gives a completely different picture of the day, and believes that it is a misunderstanding. July 2 was a good opportunity to come in and retrieve equipment that the company owned and disposed of and needed elsewhere in the municipality, according to the company's CEO Roger Kjettselberg.
The company did not want to "patch and cook"What is behind the conflict that may have culminated at the bath a week ago?
Tierp Municipal Property AB (Tierpsbyggen's parent company) has, after a completed investigation, decided that Vendelbadet can no longer operate by "patching and repairing". The bath needs a lot of renovation for several million SEK, according to the company.
Despite this, the municipality has, according to the company, carried out short-term measures. This prompted Tierpsbyggen to terminate the agreement on Vendelbadet, and the municipality then took over the operation.
That the municipality also did not buy the company's investigation straight off, also sweated.
- We had to do our own screening because the company's investigation of Vendelbadet did not give us all the answers, says Randi Graungaard.
Tierpsbyggen and the municipality are now working to get a handover of the operation for the bath, which last year turned 50 years.
During Thursday, another announcement is expected of the municipality's plans for the bath in Örbyhus.
