Yesterday, Wednesday, an Egyptian newspaper revealed an Egyptian move after Iran announced an alternative corridor to the Suez Canal.

The Egyptian newspaper "Al-Mal" quoted sources as saying that "the Suez Canal Authority is preparing a press statement supported by numbers and statistics, about what was reported this week, about the competition of the southern-northern Iranian corridor of the Suez Canal."

The sources confirmed that "the Suez Canal Authority has been following this file since 2000, when India, Russia and Iran signed the joint agreement to start establishing a multi-modal path."

The Iranian "Jabhar" Free Zone Organization has announced that the trade link between Mumbai, Hamburg and Petersburg will take place through Astrakhan, Anzali, Jabhar and Nava Shiva in India, instead of the Egyptian Suez Canal.

The director-general of the organization, Abdul Rahim Kurdi, said that the commercial corridor will reduce the time it takes to transport goods from Russia from 38 days to 14-16 days only. According to the Iranian News Agency, "IRNA".

Kurdi pointed out that Iran is considered a station in the middle of the world thanks to its distinguished strategic geographical location, where the Jabahar Port can play the role of linking the east of the world with its west, and its north to its south, and the beaches of Makran and Jabhar are now turning into a major economic road in the world.

He explained that the port of the martyr Beheshti is a turning point in the economic relations of the Jabhar Free Zone, and 300 million euros were allocated to activate the railways in this region last year, which led to the project entering a new stage.

A report issued by one of the Iranian magazines confirmed that the INSTC North-North Corridor refers to a multi-modal transport network of international trade, sea, land and railways, which links the regions of South Asia, Western Asia (Iran and the Arab Gulf region), Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Russia. Reach northern Europe.
