Jawan Hiwa, 26, heads every morning to a car repair and oil replacement workshop in Sulaymaniyah Governorate (northern Iraq), and she spends 7 continuous hours working with more than about 15 men without any fatigue or boredom, defying conservative social customs and traditions in society Kurdish.

The Kurdish girl faced many challenges and difficulties in the beginning of her work, and she exposed her to permanent criticism, but the support of her family and her family helped her overcome all these social obstacles.

Jawan stereotyped men's monopoly over these actions without women, to give a brighter image to women, by giving them more room for work and creativity alongside men.

Gawan called on all women to engage in all professions, without paying attention to customs and traditions, and relying on themselves to secure a livelihood, amid the economic conditions and crises in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
