The English Football Association imposed a 4-match ban on Tottenham's Eric Dyer, as well as fined him 40,000 pounds ($ 50,000).

Al-Ittihad accused Dyer, 26, of inappropriate behavior because of his behavior following the match that Tottenham lost to Norwich City on penalties on 4 March in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

The video footage showed Dyer ascending the stands to confront a fan, and directed abusive comments and gestures.
Dyer's defense was based on the fact that he was concerned about his younger brother Patrick, as he was sitting behind that fan and got involved in a fight with him.

Dyer said that his actions did not include directing a threat, but the FA stated in a statement that an independent committee had concluded that "Eric Dyer's behavior carried a threat."

Dyer will miss four of Tottenham's remaining five games in the Premier League this season, which wraps up on February 26.
