Do the French have a good opinion of the Prime Minister and his new government? They seem to be divided at the moment and it is a little early to judge a man very little known to the general public. Indeed, several polls, published Wednesday, are interested in the vision that the French have of Jean Castex and his ministers. According to an Elabe survey for BFMTV, 31% of those polled say they are satisfied with the composition of the new government, 36% are dissatisfied and 33% do not say. Almost one in two French people (47%) do not have an opinion on the appointment of Jean Castex, who still suffers from a marked lack of awareness, 29% think it is a good thing and 24% a bad.
According to another Ifop-Fiducial survey for Cnews and Sud Radio, 48% of those questioned say they are satisfied with the new government against 52% who are not (but without details on those who refused to vote). In another Odoxa survey for Le Figaro and franceinfo published, she, Tuesday, 51% of respondents are satisfied, 48% are not and 1% did not speak.
Dupond-Moretti divides public opinion
Among ministers, the appointment of Roselyne Bachelot to the Ministry of Culture is welcomed by 53% of those questioned by Elabe, against 30% for whom it is a bad thing, and 17% do not comment. For the Ifop-Fiducial study, 58% approve, 34% disapprove and 8% do not know it.
The choice of Eric Dupond-Moretti to the post of Keeper of the Seals further divides the French: 41% are in favor, against 35% who see it as a bad thing and 24% do not comment, according to Elabe. According to the Ifop-Fiducial study, 44% approve of his appointment, 40% disagree and 16% do not know him.
Respondents are also divided on another minister whose appointment is controversial, Gérald Darmanin in the Interior: 38% approve it according to Ifop-Fiducial, 45% disapprove of it and 17% say they do not know him.
