The Romoss school in Gothenburg has been repeatedly criticized for, among other things, gender-divided lessons. The parties represented in the council have now signed a request to the School Inspectorate, which was sent on June 12. There they ask for the Römoss school to be closed down.

But that has not happened - instead, the School Inspectorate here gave the green light a week for the school to expand its operations and take over the premises to the closed Sapphire School.

The municipal council responsible for school issues in Gothenburg, Helene Odenjung (L) in Gothenburg, is worried about the approximately 500 students at Römosseskolan.

- They get a distorted picture of what it is like to live in Sweden, it is deeply undemocratic and a big problem, she says.

Hope's decision is reconsidered

Helene Odenjung (L) now hopes that the School Inspectorate will open the case and reassess its decision.

SVT News West has for several weeks tried in various ways to reach the principal of the Romosso School and its management, but received no response. On a visit to the school two weeks ago, the principal was present, but did not want to come out and answer SVT's questions.

Hear the politicians why they think the school they never visited should be closed.
