  • The six lounges will be accessible for 12 days from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Twelve people can be there at the same time.
  • In this vegetal atmosphere, it will be possible to bring food but not to consume alcohol.

Six salons, six atmospheres. Nature will be established at six points on the Champs-Elysées from July 16 to 27. These six vegetated and themed lounges - vegetable, wild, floral, Zen, Mediterranean and tropical - will be installed "from top to bottom of the commercial and mineral part of the avenue", says Edouard Lefebvre, general delegate of the Champs-Elysées Committee , on the initiative of the operation in partnership with the agency Ubi Bene.

Thus, there are two lounges at the Champs-Elysées roundabout (at 23 and 26), near Fouquet's (at 95) and at the crossing of rue de Berri (at 100) and at the level of the streets of Galilée (at 117) and de Balzac (at 136). They will be open every day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and their access will be free - 12 people maximum - for one hour by reservation. “These salons are a fun way to privatize the Champs-Elysées. It is not a service ordered by a brand or by a bistro to have a larger terrace, ”warns Edouard Lefebvre.

Plants reconditioned after the event

A host or hostess will welcome Parisians, Ile-de-France residents or the few tourists present who have reserved a lounge. In this vegetal atmosphere, it will be possible to bring food but not to consume alcohol. "For reasons of simplicity and security," explains the Champs-Elysées Committee.

After July 27, living room plants will be repotted, returned to culture or even composted. “Today is a unique event, there is no intention of making it sustainable. If it is a success, that it interests the public, we do not refrain from trying again, explains Edouard Lefebvre. In our consultation on the future of the Champs-Elysées, out of 100,000 participants, there was a strong demand for a more planted avenue, a more pleasant walk. It is a way of responding to it. "

With six lounges open 11 hours a day for 12 days, 792 open reservation slots and nearly 10,000 Parisians will be able to take advantage of the Champs-Elysées between a seedling of radishes and a fern.
