Accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old schoolgirl in 2013, and sentenced in first instance to a suspended prison sentence and a 20,000 euro fine, the Franco-Lebanese trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf was released on Wednesday on appeal.

The Franco-Lebanese trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf, accused of having sexually assaulted a 14-year-old schoolgirl in 2013, was released on Wednesday by the Paris Court of Appeal. The artist, winner of Victoires de la musique and a César, had been sentenced at first instance in December 2018 to 4 months suspended prison sentence and 20,000 euros fine.
