Russia Day offered to be postponed to July 1

In her opinion, on June 12, many citizens of the country were associated with the collapse of the USSR, and not with the acquisition of independence of the country.

Volynets believes that the date of the celebration of the Day of Russia needs to be changed, and the most appropriate day is July 1.

“Due to the fact that the overwhelming majority of Russian citizens approved amendments to the Constitution ... I ask you to instruct the Russian government to carry out the set of measures necessary to approve the end date ... of voting, July 1, Russia Day, declaring this date a public holiday and a day off, ”Volynets suggests.

Earlier, the text of the Constitution was published on the official portal of legal information, as amended, approved during the all-Russian vote, which took place in Russia from June 25 to July 1.
